What do you receive with a business card template?
Each card comes front and back at both sizes, and each of those as two PDFs: 8 PDFs in all. One of each pair is trimmed exactly to size for proofing or printing at home, and the other carries 3mm of bleed on every edge for a commercial printer.
The bleed is made by extending the artwork past the cut, never by scaling the design up, so every margin on the card stays where it was set. The two sizes are composed separately rather than one scaled to the other, because they are different shapes.
Which business card size should you choose?
Use the size your printer has quoted, which in Australia is usually 90 × 55mm. Choose 85.5 × 54mm if you want a card that fits a wallet card slot exactly. Both are in the download, so the choice can wait until you order the print.
