Where a café's logo gets used
Most people meet a café's logo on a takeaway cup, in someone else's hand, a block from the counter. After that it is on the window, the menu board, the loyalty card and the square picture beside every post and review.
A rubber stamp for kraft bags and a cut-vinyl window decal are one colour by nature, so a café logo has to hold up in one colour. Try each logo below in your darkest colour on white before you choose.
Script, serif or a badge
The café set runs from a swash serif to a monospaced wordmark and a round badge. A badge suits a coffee cart, where the logo has to fill a round sticker or the side of a small trailer. A long name reads better in the wordmarks, which keep it on one line.
What comes with it
Each logo downloads as SVG and transparent PNG, with a square version for a profile picture and merch files sized for a tee and a cap for the staff. Our café kits carry the logo onto a business card, a letterhead, social posts with your opening hours and a website, and the labels shelf has a round sticker for bags and a jar label for beans or house-made jam.
Questions
- Will the logo print on takeaway cups?
- The SVG is the file a cup printer asks for. Check with them how many colours they print, and choose a logo that still reads in that many.
- Can I see my café's name on a cup before I buy?
- Yes. Open a logo in the editor with your name in and the mockups show it on a takeaway cup and a window.
